Last Saturday (Yes I know I am a slacker, I have been really busy OK!) I made a visit to a bunch of shops getting things all dialed in and ready for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb on June 29th. Big stop of the day was to swing by Vickery Motorsports to pick up some parts from Doug and to show them the bike in person.
Vickery Motorsports is the place to go here in the Denver metro for anything related to motorsports! Great selection of parts, new, and used motorcycles, quads and UTV's! If your in the area definitely swing by and check them out!
Sunday I ran down to PPIR for an open track day to test the quickshifter and the slipper clutch that Alan @ Racing Unlimited set me up with. Everything went well and we had a good time turning laps down there on a tight course that has some turns that will be similar to what I will run into on the mountain! The slipper clutch took a little getting used to but once I figured out how it was working I really enjoyed it and braking became a lot easier! The quickshifter was also a blessing and is definitely worth the upgrade for sure!
So after a busy weekend I am left with going through the bike and doing all the final prep after work when I get home. Today was a Great day as we got some goodies in the post! First thing to arrive was a SWEET set of Chicken Hawk Racing Digital Pro-Line Tire Warmers, these things are the nicest set of tire warmers I have ever seen!
Next up is a big one for me, we have a new sponsor and it is a big one! I would like to welcome Bell Powersports to the family here at Just-Us Racing and Project Supertwin! I ditched my other helmet at work and rode home and around town in the new lid and I am impressed at how well it fits and I really do like the way the shield operates. Big thanks to Brett for setting this up, here is my new Star "Spirit Blue" lid for the upcoming hill climb:
I like it! SO back to work for me here, I have to cut down the chain and get a different rear sprocket on here along with some other little things. Will post up some more stuff as soon as I can!
Cheers!
