Off To High Plains Raceway!

Project Supertwin loaded up and ready to head to the track for her first track day!

The day went really well, had almost zero issues, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to get this bike all dialed in and sorted out. We used the day to literally get in as many laps as possible to get some good seat time. 60+ laps later and the bike had been mostly flawless, only issue we had was the shifter tab came loose and I had to come in and re-loctite the bolt and headed back out.

Here is a video of a lap around High Plains Raceway in Byers, CO:

Then here is a pucker factor moment when I mis-judged the entrance of turn 3 and decided to try off roading with slicks:

All in all it was a Great day! I am looking forward to getting some more seat time on her and am really looking forward to racing her up Pikes Peak next month!

Cheers!

The Time Has Come!

Here I am sorting pics and videos and very pleased with the Project thus far! Got some wheels back and some bodywork finished up last week along with getting new rubber mounted up!
Then we got a small delivery of some bits from GB Racing...
So with that we only had to figure out the lower fairing...
There we go, almost a complete racebike! Have to do some cleanup and add in a couple of little brackets for the back of the lower to mount on but all in all it is a pretty good fit!

Stay tuned....

Mad-Moto Visit and some fresh forks.

So because of time constraints we had to have the forks rebuilt in town for now, we ran over and saw Bart @ Mad-Moto for some instructions on how to rebuild the Showa Big Piston Forks. After Pikes Peak we will get them off to Lindemann to get them upgraded.
Add some new rubber and get the damn lower finished and I will be on the track VERY Soon! We can't wait to give her a go and see how she handles. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is coming up quick so I need to get a move on!

If anyone is interested in sponsoring the project and getting your name or your companies name on the bike for Pikes Peak let me know asap as the bike will be getting wrapped soon!

Cheers!

More Fab and some electronic goodies...

Headed over to Two Create Fab to get the upper fairing brackets finished up and fix up the radiator a bit this past week. Everything is looking good, bike is running and I actually got a lap around the neighborhood on it tonight! Felt good to ride this thing, from a bare frame to this...

Got the Dynojet quick shifter and Power Commander all installed tonight and the bike actually ran after I was done! That's a good thing right? ;) Hoping to get to the dyno next week and get it dialed in for some seat time. Gonna be fun to take it out to the track for the first time after all the work I have put into it! I can't wait!!!

Radiator is in!

Not a lot has happened up until the last week or so on the project! Finally got her loaded up and brought up to the radiator shop and got the radiator fitted and installed so we could get her fired up!

So we now have a radiator and can finally get her up and running!
Hoping to get the upper fairing mounts finished up and get her out to the track if not this weekend next weekend to get some seat time on her and get some things sorted! Pikes Peak is coming up really quick!!!
